What is a Fee?
Why a Fee?
At ScamSniffer, we are committed to providing top-notch security by blocking malicious phishing sites, protecting transactions, and filtering out malicious content on platforms like Twitter.
To maintain the quality and sustainability of our service, we are introducing a 0.25% fee on selected DEX trades.

Fee type | Flat fee | Flat fee |
How the Fee Works
Starting from version 0.0.45, the 0.25% fee will be automatically applied to Uniswap and PancakeSwap trades. A maximum fee of $400 per address per month will be charged to ensure affordability and fairness for all users. This allows us to continue improving our service and ensure you have the most reliable protection against scams.
For all users who have purchased our products, we will add your address to the whitelist, you won't have any fees for three months.
Transparency
To ensure transparency, you can see the notification about the introduction of fees at the top.
The fee amount can be seen at the bottom. If it is displayed, it means the current transaction has an additional fee.
Questions?
Why do you charge fees from my Uniswap/DEX swaps?
Our fee model aligns with your trading activity - you only pay when you trade. This is more cost-effective than monthly subscriptions, as many users found the subscription cost similar to their gas fees.
What if I don't make any swaps?
You can still use our basic security features for free! We only charge for swap transactions.
Can I opt out of the fees?
While the option to turn off fees is currently available by disabling the “Enable Premium Plan” option, please note that this will also result in the loss of some features.
How is the fee implemented?
Like other security extensions, and similar to how Uniswap charges an interface fee, fees can be seamlessly integrated by adding custom commands in Uniswap's universal router transactions.
How do you ensure the inserted fee command is as expected?
We prioritize security and have taken proactive measures to ensure everything functions as intended.
DNS Security
To maintain the integrity of our domain, we sign returned transactions. Our client-side verifies the consistency of these signatures.
Backend Safety
In the unlikely event of a backend issue, our client side performs thorough checks to ensure all transaction commands are secure. If anything unusual is detected, we immediately halt the transaction to protect user assets.
Your Continued Protection
Rest assured, our primary focus remains on keeping you safe online. The fee will help us invest in better technology, expand our threat database, and enhance our detection mechanisms.
